The open farm fields of Michigan’s Thumb area resemble the arctic summer habitats of Snowy Owls. Travel by CNC van with Interpretive Naturalist Michelle Fournier in search of Snowy Owls. We may also see Rough-legged hawks, Horned Larks, Snow Buntings or American Tree Sparrows. Bring a lunch, binoculars and field guide and dress for the weather. We will have spotting scopes and binoculars to share. Most time will be spent driving or standing outside the van, but we’ll also include a few short walks.
