Delve into the world of 1870s women’s fashion with CNC historical intern Tara Lee. Families are invited to explore materials, clothing layers, and technology. Touch silk, learn to sew by hand, sift through photographs, and experience the importance of something as simple as an apron! Kids should be prepared to get a little wet during this hands-on program. Participants will learn how clothing was made, who was wearing it, and how it was cared for.
