DESCRIPTION:At Home with Nature \n  \n  \n Registration for 2025-26 opens Aug 15, 2025 \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n At Home with Nature is a program designed to supplement science and history homeschool education through fun, interactive, hands-on activities. Each series consists of three programs, all held outdoors. Students ages 5-12 will be divided into groups based on their age. Each session is limited to 45 students, with students divided into three groups. \n  \n  \n Each series is $20 per student and $18 for each additional sibling. (CNC members: $16 per student, $14.40 for each additional sibling.) \n  \n  \n Sessions must be registered for as a package, and missed classes cannot be made up or refunded. Individual classes will be cancelled due to weather or program restrictions at CNC’s discretion. Classes cancelled by CNC will be refunded.  \n  \n  \n Registration is required at least one week before the start of the series. A complete health form must be on file. Students should dress for the weather as all programs will be outdoors when possible. \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n       Tuesdays 10-11:30 am or 1-2:30 pm       \n  \n  \n October Session: Ecosystems \n  \n Oct 7 - Wetlands \n  \n Oct 21 - Meadows \n  \n Oct 28 - Forests \n  \n  \n November Session: Historical Farm Life \n  \n Nov 4 - Homestead Life \n  \n Nov 11 - Log Schoolhouse \n  \n Nov 18 - Simple Machines on the Farm      \n  \n  \n December Session: Nature & Art \n  \n Dec 2 - Homestead Art \n  \n Dec 9 - Plant Art \n  \n Dec 16 - Animal Art \n  \n  \n January Session: Winter Weather \n  \n Jan 13 - Getting Ready for Winter \n  \n Jan 20 - Science of Snow and Ice \n  \n Jan 27 - Winter Survival \n  \n  \n February Session: Stewardship \n  \n Feb 10 - Land Management \n  \n Feb 17 - Recycling \n  \n Feb 24 - Conservation at Home \n  \n  \n *Topics may shift within the series due to weather or other conditions. \n
