This program is designed for professionals and students in the field of interpretation.

Join us for this one-day workshop to help you make the most of winter - learning and growing alongside your colleagues! The day’s sessions will let you learn about seed saving, historical interpretation, and much more!

The $20 fee covers lunch and snacks. Additional fees apply for some workshops (Fire by Friction workshop). Please be sure to register for a session for each time.

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

9:00-9:30 am - Registration and Welcome

9:30-10:30 am - First session (select during registration)

              Invasive Species, BORING! Tips and Tricks to keep your audience interested

              Root Cellar/Ice Box: A collaboration with community partners

10:45-11:45 am - Second session (select during registration)

             Have a Drink on Me: Prohibition Stories and How-tos

             Seed Saving Basics: The Hows and Whys of Heirloom Seed Preservation           

11:45 am-12:45 pm - Lunch 

12:45 - 1:00 pm - Music and Interpretation

1:00-2:00 pm - Third session (select during registration)

            Fire by Friction Kit Building (2 hour session)

            School-Community Partnerships: Connection conversation and student learning

2:15 - 3:15pm - Fourth session (select during registration)

            Stellar Story Hours: Going Beyond the Book

            Winter Woody Plant Identification: Invasive and Native Shrubs

3:15-3:30 pm - Closing

Cancellation prior to the registration deadline (1/10) will be refunded in full. Cancellations after that deadline may not be refunded.
