Join us for an afternoon of cider-making the traditional way! Among heirloom apple trees at the Homestead Farm, help crush and press apples by hand to make pure apple cider and learn how to make small batches of cider at home. Watch volunteers make apple treats on the cabin’s woodstove, pick up some tasty recipes and enjoy samples of local cider and snacks at this free, family-friendly event, rain or shine! Eastman’s Antique Apples will share information on different varieties, and Eastman’s Forgotten Ciders will explain the hard cider making process. Outdoor activities will move to the Timber Frame barn in the event of rain, and it’ll be cozy inside the Homestead Cabin. Venture Out!
