Join CNC volunteers and accomplished spinners Sue Erhardt and Andrea Foster for an afternoon of learning to spin wool on a drop spindle. We'll start with a basic history of spinning and show a variety fibers including wool, alpaca, llama and mohair. You’ll also see skeins of handspun fibers and a number of finished projects. Sue and Andrea will then provide instruction as you practice spinning on drop spindles. To conclude the day, several styles of spinning wheels will be available to see and try. Participants will each receive a drop spindle, wool roving as well as handouts describing spinning resources to take home.
