Come explore the forests and wetlands of CMU's Nethercut Woodland near Farwell with Interpretive Naturalists Jeanne Henderson and Michelle Fournier. We’ll search for spring woodland wildflowers, ferns, tree flowers and new leaves in this outdoor study area. Bring your waterproof boots to wade into the wetlands looking for frogs, salamanders and turtles. We’ll meet at the Visitor Center at 8 am and travel in CNC’s 15-passenger van. Access to the Wakelin McNeel lodge will provide a lunch space and access to restrooms. Bring a sack lunch and clothes for the weather; cameras and binoculars are optional, but recommended.
