The Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area is one of the last truly wild places in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Explore these 3,400-acres of mature forests, open dunes and Lake Michigan beach on a fresh blanket of snow with experienced trip leaders Kyle Bagnall and Michelle Fournier. Participants should bring a sack lunch, water bottle and gear appropriate for the weather, including the windy shores of Lake Michigan. Please bring money to stop for dinner at a restaurant on the way home. To borrow snowshoes and poles at no extra charge, please indicate at time of registration.
