Drop by the wigwam (near the Visitor Center) and join Historical Interpreter Cathy Fitzpatrick to glimpse into the lives of the Ojibwa who lived along the Pine River several hundred years ago. Explore how these people used local plants and animals to thrive in this environment. Inside the lodge, you’ll find a small fire, see traditional tools used for hunting and preparing wild game, learn about the fur trade and see plants used for making cordage and baskets. If there is enough snow, we’ll play a game of snow snakes outside.
