August 25 - Shelters and Timber Tools
What do sheep and humans have in common? They both need shelter. Come explore timber tools, use a crosscut saw, and construct a miniature section of a timber frame barn. Let your imagination run wild stacking building blocks into mini barns and explore the world of sawmills through photographs.

About Homestead Sunday:
Step back in time at CNC's log cabin, timber frame barn and one-room school for a family-friendly afternoon at the Homestead Farm and Log Schoolhouse. Weekly themed activities and tours will be available throughout the afternoon. You may get to try your hand at grinding corn, pumping water, writing on a slate board, working in the garden, tilling the field or watering the animals. The Homestead and Schoolhouse will be open Sundays in June, July and August. Learn more about Homestead Sunday
