Milkweed is the host plant for Monarch butterflies eggs and caterpillars. Growing milkweed and observing the insect life stages can be a fun and rewarding project for the whole family. Learn how to find and count monarch eggs and caterpillars on milkweed plants for the citizen science Monarch Larva Monitoring Project. Using pictures, videos and time in the field, you will learn procedures to record the desired information. Join Interpretive Naturalist Jeanne Henderson at the visitor center.
