Native Americans named this full moon the Sturgeon Moon because they readily caught this large fish in the Great Lakes during August. We will walk along the River Trail to enjoy the evening while listening and searching for wildlife. Bats, katydids, nighthawks or coyotes may be active. Meet Interpretive Naturalist Jeanne Henderson at the Visitor Center; please wear dark clothing and bring a flashlight.
