This program will be held at the Homestead barn located at the Chippewa Nature Center, 400 Badour Rd., Midland MI. Learn about Native Plants Used for Natural Dyes with member Susan Erhardt. While walking by the Homestead gardens and nearby fields, Susan will identify the plants, discuss which parts of the plants to use for dyes, how to prepare them, and the colors each will produce. She will explain the process of dyeing and give you more reasons to appreciate native plants.
