Most of CNC's paddling trips on the Chippewa River are just a few hours, but this time, we’re going to make a day of it! Join Interpretive Naturalists Michelle Fournier and Jeanne Henderson on this kayak adventure down a beautiful stretch of river that few experience. We’ll put in at Magruder Rd and paddle 10 miles to CNC’s Chippewa River Universal Access site, with a lunch break at Midland County's Manitou Park. In addition to enjoying the incredible river scenery, we’ll look for wildlife that call the river home. Sightings along the way could include eagles, herons, turtles and muskrats. Participants should dress for changing weather conditions throughout the day and bring beverages, a sack lunch and snacks. CNC will provide a kayak, paddle and life jacket for each participant.
