Tawas Point State Park is one of Michigan's best areas for bird watching during the spring migration. This one-day trip will include the state park, Tuttle Marsh and fields. We could possibly see 100 species, including warblers, vireos, sparrows, hawks, bitterns, ducks and more! We'll leave CNC bright and early at 6 am and bird until the evening hours. Participants should bring a sack lunch, beverages and snacks for the day, and money for dinner in a restaurant. We will be walking or standing at the state park, and walk a short path at the marsh. Transportation in CNC's 15- passenger van will be provided. Loaner binoculars are available. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.
