Explore the Kawkawlin River Flooding in northern Midland County in a kayak! Participants will join trip leader Michelle Fournier to look for birds, muskrats, deer and other wildlife. We’ll especially keep an eye out for the amazing Black Terns that nest in the area, a species of special concern in Michigan. We will meet at the CNC Visitor Center at 5:30pm and travel to Kawkawlin by van, returning to CNC by 9pm. All gear is provided, but participants may want to bring a snack and water bottle for the trip.
Ages: 15 and up (under 18 with an adult)
