Located at the tip of Michigan’s Thumb, Port Crescent State Park is a hot spot to view migrating hawks and other raptors in late April and early May. Join experienced trip leaders, Kyle Bagnall and Michelle Fournier, as we head to this stop on the Saginaw Bay Birding Trail. There, we’ll look for hawks and other birds as we explore the park’s many habitats, from dunes and grasslands along the shore to deciduous forests further inland.
Participants should bring a sack lunch, beverages and snacks for the day. At the park, we’ll visit the shore and walk about 3.5 miles of trails. Transportation will be provided in CNC's 15 passenger van. Loaner binoculars are available at no extra charge. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.
