Native plant species including trees, shrubs, wildflowers, grasses, vines and ferns are beneficial additions to your existing yard or to new developments. Learn how to create a landscape design for your property in this hands-on workshop. Martha Holzheuer, Landscape Ecologist with Environmental Consulting and Technology, Inc. will introduce you to designing with natives. She will also discuss species for compatible plantings near utility lines. Many of the plants recommended will be available at CNC’s Native Plant Sale May 26-28.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Mid-Mitten chapter of Wild Ones Natural Landscapers. Wild Ones helps preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration and establishment of native plant communities.
