Have you spent hours thumbing through wildflower guides trying to figure out the name of the flower you saw on a hike? Or perhaps you’d just like to know if that wildflower in your backyard is something you’d like to keep in your garden. In this workshop educator Jenn Kirts will teach you what characteristics to look for when trying to identify a wildflower. Using Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide we’ll practice identifying flowers in the classroom before we go outside to put our skills to the test. We will spend time both inside and out, so please dress for the weather. Guidebooks and hand lenses will be provided.
